Well-balanced, interesting.
Dark roast with an edge but also roundness and body. Very satisfying both as an espresso and in café au lait.

Bold, rich flavor
I love bold, rich coffees…but most of them don’t like me. Puroast is different! No heartburn or stomach upset. Puroast has become my preferred brand. Luckily, the local grocery store is now carrying it. But with all the good news about the benefits of drinking coffee, combined with the absence of acid-related symptoms, I tend to buy the 5lb bags direct from Puroast!

Exactly what I’ve been looking for
This coffee is exactly what I’ve been looking for! My body can tell that it’s low acid but I can’t tell that it’s any different from the other dark roasts I’ve always loved. Tastes amazing!

OK Taste Great Low Acid
I ordered and taste tested all three dark roasts: French, Guatemalan and Colombian. In doing so, I used the exact same amount of water, beans and grounded to the same length of time. I appreciate the low acid of all three but the Colombian is my least favorite. I realize that taste is very relative but I found the Colombian Dark Roast to have a more watery taste. I would liken it to a stronger version of my parent’s church coffee. It smells great before grinding but the smell doesn’t translate to taste for me. It’s just okay. I found that I like the Dark French Roast best followed by the Guatemalan Dark Roast which I review under those products.
